Wildlife Week is observed every year from October 2 to 8 to raise mass awareness about the importance of wildlife conservation and ecological balance. This tradition, started in 1952, continues to inspire generations to stand up for nature. Theme for 2025 This year’s celebrations are being organized under the theme of Sewa Parv, aligning with the broader spirit of service and responsibility towards nature. Wildlife Week aims to spread awareness about the protection and preservation of the country’s flora and fauna, reaching every citizen across the nation. Activities taken up include the following Children, Youth and Citizen Engagement initiatives, such as debate competitions to encourage critical thinking and dialogue on pressing conservation challenges. Awareness programs, contests, and conservation activities to highlight the importance of wildlife in maintaining a healthy planet. Plantation drive under the campaign ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’.
